This Page provides information on the operation of the slider for generating fingerprint data during an analysis.

When Uploading with the UI, you will see this screen:
The slider 'Include SHA Mapping detection for component' is only active when doing a submission.
So if you are doing an initial submission or modifying a submission you can set the value and it will populate or not populate fingerprint results depending on the setting after you have submitted the initial or modified files.
Moving the slider and not making any changes after a submission will not cause any changes or action to occur. This is to force SCA processing to only occur during a result submission.
