FollowNew .NET support for Entity and soon LINQ
The support for .NET Entity Framework is already available in alpha version. It creates links from the User Interface to the database through the different layers of your applications. This helps identify the correct transactions for function point counting and for example to control architectural rules between the layers of the application. Quality rules for verifying for example system-level problems in the interaction with the framework are coming.
The support for Entity Framework is delivered as a CAST Extension and is compliant with both CAST AIP 7.3.7 (and higher) and 8.0.
The support for LINQ is under development and we expect to release it at the latest together with AIP 8.1. If you are interested in being involved, you can send an email to the product manager Narcisa Zysman (n.zysman@castsoftware.com). We are interested in both end-user feedback on the planned features as well as examples of applications which can be used for testing by the R&D team.
