CAST Imaging 2.20 – Funcrel

CAST Imaging Funcrel version - 2.20 is available.
New Features:
Imaging Assistant Chatbot: Enhanced with additional information for varied queries related to an application’s inner workings.
AI-powered Transaction Summary: A feature enabling the generation and storage of transaction summaries. This will help the users generate technical documentation explaining the workflow for each application transaction and save it for reference.
Add children and Add parent - A new option has been added in the right-click context menu under "Add Dependencies", It allows users to view "Children" or "Parent" objects for the selected object in the current view.
Custom Aggregation Links - In aggregated views, you can examine the intensity of connections among aggregated nodes by visualizing the appearance of edges (varying width and color) based on the number of references. This helps in determining the most coupled objects of the application.
Enhancements:
Search in CAST Imaging
Added filter for selecting External, Internal, or All objects.
Two new options to search based on: "Comment before object" and "Source Code Comments”.
The columns of the global search modal are now resizable. They can be resized by dragging the separators between the column’s headers.
View Info
View Information is available as part of the graph info panel which helps the user understand the view.
Highlight Immediate Callers/Callees - A new option has been added in the right-click context menu under the "Highlight in view" option called "Immediate Caller/Callees". It allows users to highlight the immediate callers and callees for the selected object in a view.
Advisor source code bookmarks
Added bookmarks for advisor violation template. Users can now see the exact bookmark in the source code.
JSON Export of objects and links In JSON exports, the fields are now the same as CSV and XLSX exports.
Database Access view
Users can dig down to see interactions between various object types by viewing level 5 nodes in the database access view.
Tags at All Levels, Perspectives, and Aggregations
The Tagging feature, earlier limited to the object level, is now available at All Levels, Perspectives, and Aggregations.
Manage Level 5 Nodes
This feature is now driven by resource permissions. Users can create new roles and assign resource permissions to any role as needed.
Bulk Tag/Annotate
Bulk tag/annotate functionality is now accessible under the config center and is application-specific, driven by resource permissions. Users can create new roles and assign resource permissions to any role as needed.
List View
The 'List View' option is moved to the top of the canvas (previously ‘List View’ was available as a toggle on the left menu). Right Panel sections are also available for list view.
UI - Reports - New report for Added/Modified objects
The new report provides information about all the added/modified objects within the application compared to the previous import version.
User Interface Updates:
- The Transaction, DCG, and App-to-App search UI design is improved.
- Custom Aggregation UI changes for a better user experience.
- Right Panel improvements in terms of design and access to information displayed.
- Sticky Notes Modal updated.
