CAST Imaging Console 2.10.0 is live!

We are happy to announce the release of CAST Imaging Console 2.10.0-funcrel!

In this version, we continued the effort on easing the source code discovery and analysis operations to produce more accurate results. Among the improvements (there are many!), we provide users with the following:

The application Fast Scan has been revisited

The Fast Scan engine has been enhanced to match the capabilities of the CAST Profiler with better performance. It now delivers more actionable outcomes presented in new sections of the application Overview page such as Complete Files Inventory and Technology Stack. In addition to that, the Software Composition and the Architecture Preview sections have been redesigned to provide more accurate information.

We continued to improve the Alerts handling

Alerts are now providing the operator with valuable information and suggest remedy actions. Similar occurrences are grouped to reduce the number of items to reviewed and thus make the operator more efficient when onboarding and analyzing applications.

Moreover, the administrator can now define the patterns to be applied to catch relevant messages appearing in logs along the application processing.

We improved the usability of the UI with your valuable feedback and suggestions

The usability and performance of the User Interface have been improved to make both the operator and the administrator for efficient. Thus, it is now possible to publish multiple architecture models in one click and hence to be more efficient when dealing with microservices architectures. In his side, the administrator is now notified in case of CAST Highlight token expiry and the CAST Highlight agent is automatically installed. This prevents thus the loss of insights during the application processing.
