CAST HIGHLIGHT - IDE - Visual Studio Code - Cloud ready extension - When uploading the detailed cloud ready csv log file getting the error: Bad Workspace Please open the application folder corresponding to check

When uploading the cloudDetail_{technology}.csv result file generated in Highlight into Visual Studio Code for using CloudReady VS Code extension, getting the error Bad Workspace Please open the application folder corresponding to check 1.JPG

Solution

This error occurs when the cloudDetail_{technology}.csv has no result in it.  They should be detailed scan logs,

  1. Check whether the csv files have results in it. The logs are produced in the same folder as other scan result CSV files: {scannedFolder}/HLTemporary/analysis/cloudDetail_{technology}.csv
  2. To ensure that the logs generated are detailed, add --dbgMatchPatternDetail to the CLI or to the target field in the Properties dialogue box of HL if agent is used. For more details please refer CAST HIGHLIGHT - Logs - How to generate detailed scan logs with Cloud Blocker information in the agent as well as CLI
  3. Ensure that the latest version of Highlight is used.
  4. For logging in Visual Studio Code IDE use the userid and password created when registering the VS code extension and not the Highlight credentials. Provide the HL company identifier, not company name.
  5. In Visual Studio Code IDE workspace ensure that the folder structure of your project also has the same folder structure used when previously scanned with the CAST Highlight command line and agent.

When the csv file has results in it and the upload is proper in Visual Studio Code you will see the following message, 2.JPG
