CAST IMAGING - V3 - User Administration - Application Owner unable to see the Add Application option. – CAST

User tried to create a custom Application Owner role but could not see the option for the onboarding of applications.

Explanation

Application Owner do not have permission for onboarding/importing of applications, for this permission the Application Creator role is also required.

Application Owner role has permissions only for the applications assigned to the role. These permissions allow to perform activities such as application analysis, configuration, and result consumption through CAST Dashboards and CAST Imaging Viewer.

The user should have Application Creator role also assigned to have access to Onboard the apps.

Since users with both Application Creator and Application Owner role can only onboard applications and manage assigned apps the Application Creator role should also be assigned to the user. To obtain the Application Creator role in Imaging V3, an admin must assign the predefined Application Creator profile to the user or group in the Users tab. This profile cannot be modified or deleted.
