CAST HIGHLIGHT - Portfolio Management - Portfolio Manager for two Sub-Domains is not able to swap the Apps between those Domains

A User with Portfolio Manager role for 2 Sub-Domains under a root Domain wants to detach an App from one Domain and attach it to the other Domain. Access rights of the Portfolio Manager to the two  distinct but separate sub-branches of the domain tree is shown below

ROOT (Do have access)

|

|----- SubDomain 1 (Do not have access)

|

|----- SubDomain 2 (have access)

|

|----- SubDomain 3 (have access)

The first problem is that when the Portfolio Manager try to detach Application, it just disappear for a sec and is back again in the list.

The second problem is that when the User tries to Attach the Application to the other Domain, user is getting an error Application doesn't exist.

Solution

When the user detaches an App it gets automatically attached to the  Root Domain above, and as the user do not have access to the Root Domain, the App cannot be detached/attached among the Sub-Domains. A Portfolio Manager who is handling 2 domains may get impacted when attaching/detaching applications because of the fact that these domains are strictly separated.

This is a Limitation of the Product for a Portfolio Manager of two distinct branches of the domain tree structure, but do not have portfolio manager rights at the root level.
