CAST HIGHLIGHT - User Administration - How to remove an user account from the portfolio?

Portfolio Manager can detach  an user account from the portfolio.  If a detached  user tries to login the following error message is generated " Login or password incorrect(too many attempt might lock account) ". A detached user wont be visible in the User List. A detached user can once again be re-invited by the portfolio manager. Detaching a user from MANAGE PORTFOLIO > Users & Apps should delete the user and can be done by portfolio managers without having to ask the IT team to delete the account, unless it is an improper detachment.

If an application contributor is to be detached properly, ensure that contributor is detached from all the applications the contributor was responsible for, prior to the detachment. 

Details

Portfolio Manager of the user can detach the account by following the below steps

  1. Go to MANAGE PORTFOLIO > Users & Apps 1.png
  2. Click the List icon in the TOTAL USERS tab. Refer point 1
  3. Click the delete icon. Refer point 2. 
  4.  In the pop up that opens select the required action. Deactivating a user account will set the user account status to not active. If the slider switch is selected to "on" for user removal instead the  operation then cannot be reverted. 2.png

NB: Detaching a user from a portfolio is indicated in the Event logs as "Update User"
