One single user may have to play different roles in Highlight with each role having their own different set of predefined permissions. Portfolio Manager can create multiple roles using alias mail Id's and then associate each of these aliases with each separate role.
For this modify the portion of the mail ID after the "+" sign and before the "@" sign.
Also to invite the same user in other portfolios, the portfolio manager can add the suffix +PortfolioName in the email so that the login remains unique.
E.g. Username+NewPortfolioName@company.com
Details
- Login as the Portfolio Manager for the domain/subdomain in which the aliases are to be created.
- Go to MANAGE PORTFOLIO > Manage Users
- In the left side pane where domains are listed, Click on the "user icon" of the domain in which alias is to be created, as shown in the figure below.
- In the popup box that opens
- Click on the Desired Role to associate it with the alias.
- Enter the new alias mail Id. Please note that only the portion of the mail ID after the "+" sign and before the "@" sign can only be modified.
- Click on Invite Users to get a confirmation mail which will be sent to the Logged in Users Mail ID
- Click on the activation link and login with the alias mail ID. A new password can be set for this alias mail ID as shown below . Please note that the activation link is valid only for 2 hrs and one single use.
Similarly several roles can be associated with the original Mail ID. Password can be set for each alias mail ID. The permissions for each alias will depend on the role associated with the alias.
NB : Please note that if SSO is enabled please save and close all the instances of Highlight before logging in to the requisite new role once again.
Using a single login across Highlight instances is found to be error prone. Please refer CAST HIGHLIGHT - User Administration - Unable to add user because of the error "Mail address already used for a different company”
