CAST HIGHLIGHT - User Administration - Detaching a user generates the error message: Your subscription period has ended. To continue using Highlight, please contact us

When a user is detached and tries to login the error message "Your subscription period has ended. To continue using Highlight, please contact us" shows up

Any user with a portfolio manager role at the same domain level or in a domain above can detach a user

Example

- Currently checking for user a.benarbia. He is a Portfolio Manager in the Root domain and m.sadananda is also a Portfolio Manager in root domain

- m.sadananda is detaching the user a.benarbia

- User a.benarbia has been detached

Upon Detachment the User is unable to login with the following message.

Solution

In order to have the user access restored you have to re-invite the person (here, a.benarbia) under a specific domain for a given role. Any user with a portfolio manager role at the same domain level or in a domain above can re-invite.

For the application contributor role, If before detaching has contribution to one or many applications within the portfolio, then there will be an internal error (http 500) when the user is attempted to be created. In this scenario the portfolio manager should remove contributions at the application level for the given user and try to invite the user again.

For details on the various Roles, Responsibilities and their Permissions please refer CAST HIGHLIGHT - User Administration - Roles and their Permissions

NB: Detaching a user from a portfolio is indicated in the Event logs as "Update User"
