Connection is not happening from VSCode to MCP Server.
When trying to connect CAST MCP Server with VS Code and Github Copilot the following error messages are seen.
In VSCODE the following error is seen “Unable to write chat.mcp access because it is configured in system policy”
In the MCP log the following message “Not-acceptable: Client must accept text/event-stream” can be seen
Explanation
The issue is not from CAST Imaging product but the environment is restricting the MCP integration of the LLM based IDE. The organization group policy should be reviewed to enable the MCP server connectivity access.
NB: The default log path is:
:\Program Files\CAST\Imaging-MCP-Server\logs
Default installation path is:
\ProgramData\CAST\Imaging-MCP-Server\setup-config
