This code insight counts one violation each time a line of the JSP file exceed 80 characters. All lines of the file are concerned, whatever they contain : html, JSP tags, java code, etc ...

Why you should care

Long lines will often extend beyond the screen. The end of the line could then be masked or a line return could be unappropriately inserted. So it's better to decide ourself where to insert a break line.
