CAST SBOM Manager - Installation - Splash page appears but disappears without launching the SBOM manager

Initial splash page appears but disappears after a few seconds without launching the SBOM manager.

 

Action Plan

  1. Open the system tray icon, right click on the SBOM Manager icon and click on “Open browser”.
  2. Try running from a command prompt and see if there are any error messages.  (default is C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Local\Programs\sbom-manager\sbom-manager.exe)
  3. Check if there are any firewall/windows defender blocking the running of the application.
  4. Check the Internet Access. Since the product interacts with CAST Highlight’s SCA database, the machine where the product will be running requires access to the Internet.
  5. Check if there are any other applications running on port 9001.
  6. Try installing and running as administrator.
