CAST HIGHLIGHT - Snapshot - How the archived snapshots are deleted as per data retention policy?

To delete the archived snapshot automatically, customer must provide proper validation for performing the cleanup.

 

Details

  1. The scan retention policy is not automatically enabled for all portfolios. Depending on the number of applications and the scanning frequency of each application, portfolios are regularly checked by CAST for eligibility. If your portfolio meets these criteria, a ‘SCAN RESULT RETENTION’ menu entry will appear under the ‘COMPANY’ menu. This view will preview which applications will be maintained or archived. 
    This retention policy will be applied on a quarterly basis on your portfolio.
  2. The archived snapshot can be deleted automatically from the database by the Highlight team once they get the proper validation from the customer before performing the cleanup.
  3. Once the "archive” snapshots are removed, no restore is possible to see them back in the dashboard. The reason why we cannot provide this data as .csv files and also why we need customers validation prior to performing the cleanup's.

NB:   For the archived CSV files, the same data retention policy as above applies. Archived CSV files are deleted 2 years after the subscription end date. Please refer the Data Retention Policy.

The customer should have archivable CSV which contains snapshot details.
