The SBOM file which is CycloneDX version1.4 when tried to be imported to Highlight generates the error
"The specified BOM is not in a supported format. Supported formats are XML and JSON"
Workaround or Action Plan
- Check if the Cyclone DX file is of a valid format. Issue here occured because the file is not a valid 1.4 BOM. This can be validated with the below url https://cyclonedx.github.io/cyclonedx-web-tool/validate
- Check if any tools are used to generate SBOMs and check if they generate any errors as per Cyclone DX format.
- Check if the Cyclone DX version is currently supported by Highlight. Please refer feature focus sbom import
