it's impossible to see a trend when the closing date of the campaign is in the future.
This is because when a new application is submitted or a rescan is made the created snapshot has the date of the closing date of the campaign and not the date in which the scan results are submitted.
For eg when the End Date of the campaign is 24 December 2024 (the Snapshot has this future date) and if the user tries to submit a new value some days after the new snapshot with the same date 24 December 2024 (which overwrites the previous) it is impossible to have a trend. This is because the closing date of the campaign is in the future. (see image below)
Workaround or Action Plan
It is an expected behaviour for the Snapshot to have the Date of the Closing Date of the Campaign and not the Date on which the scan results are submitted.
Then to see the trend data in the GUI, do any of the following.
- Create a campaign with the end date you desire and upload the corresponding data.
- Submit the campaign once the data has been uploaded, closing the campaign.
- For the next data point, create another campaign for the end date you desire and upload the corresponding data.
- Submit the campaign once the data has been uploaded, closing the campaign.
You'll now have trend data for the two campaigns.
NB: CLI handles this automatically as it creates and submits a campaign for each upload.
